Imagining peace beyond Earth
Building moral frameworks for tomorrow
A new world, same questions
What we carry—and what we leave behind
Mars Base is not a fantasy—it’s a question. In this futuristic immersive environment, participants gather inside a shared dome on the Red Planet to explore how human coexistence might evolve beyond Earth. Designed as a speculative space for dialogue, this module invites reflection on the values, ethics, and rituals we will carry with us as we become a multiplanetary species. Will our future be shaped by division, or by a renewed commitment to living together?
Set in a realistic Mars base simulation, participants enter as planetary pioneers—not of science, but of spirit. Without the familiar boundaries of nation, race, or religion, the stage is cleared for something new: a clean slate for interfaith reflection. In this gravity-shifted environment, traditional hierarchies dissolve. Instead of replicating the past, participants imagine what new forms of peace might look like when survival depends on collaboration.
Studies show that speculative and future-oriented VR scenarios can stretch our moral imagination and reduce resistance to unfamiliar ideas. Mars Base uses this research to shift mindsets—inviting participants to envision not only new worlds, but new ways of being human. In this space, peace is no longer a retroactive fix; it’s a design challenge for tomorrow. The question lingers in the silence of the dome: Will we carry conflict to the stars—or something better?
